Samburu National Park, Aberdale National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park & Maasai Mara – 7 Days & 6 Nights

This 7 days and 6 nights safari takes you to Samburu National Park, Aberdale National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park & Maasai Mara.

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
You will drive through cultivations which take you through nice Kenyan breeze that whips through your hair, which is a welcome treat for the day.Drive north through cultivations of sisal and pineapple to the northern frontier district and on to Samburu National Reserve. Here you would see crocodiles along the sun-baked banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River. While enjoying the wilderness retreat of grassy savannah, rolling mountains and glimmering horizons you can also see Kenyan animals found in Samburu, namely: cheetahs, elephants, lions, leopards, impalas, buffalo, hippos, and dik-diks, as well as the native gerenuk and the kind-hearted Kamunyak. After dinner you will have overnight stay at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
You will be taken for an early morning game drive and you will have a full day of game viewing drives in this dry semi-arid park with its striking background view of the Mathew’s Range. If you are lucky enough you can visit the rare sights of Samburu’s special “Big Five” namely Beisa oryx, gerenuk, Grévy’s zebra, Massai ostrich, and reticulated giraffe (Somali giraffe). As the day starts with heat you will have your breakfast and have a cool refreshing leisure time at lodge’s pools or at the poolside bar or at the health club. Again the sun starts to set its time for the bush to become alive and get geared for the big game and hulking predators. Again you will be taken for a second game drive where you can see hunting wildcats and lumbering elephants in the night. After dinner you will have an overnight stay at Ashnil Samburu Camp.
Day 3: Samburu to Aberdare National Park

You will have your breakfast at Ashnil Samburu and then check out for Aberdare. After reaching Aberdare you will check in at The Ark Lodge. Aberdare National Park is about 4,300 metres (14,000 feet) above sea level and this park has wide range of landscapes from the mountain peaks to their deep, v-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. You can visit the Africa’s famed “Big Five” namely the African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard, lion, and black rhinoceros all at a single place and you will be stunned by this experience. Even the bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park. After dinner you will have an overnight stay at The Ark Lodge.

Day 4: Aberdare National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru you will be stunned to see sparkling, blue lake with its shoreline filled with an explosion of cherry-blossom pink. But those are not flowers but flamingos as Lake Nakuru is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. You will be taken for an afternoon game drive where you have a close look at the beautiful flamingos. Also Lake Nakuru National Reserve is the residing place for more than 400 bird species and so you can have an exciting bird watching. After dinner you will have an overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 5: Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

You will have your breakfast and then we will take you to the homeland of the Maasai through the Great Rift Valley. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the world’s most famous safari destinations. Visiting a Maasai Mara is more than a wildlife experience as it offers insight into the culture of the Native Masai Communities of Kenya. As the day rises to afternoon you will have your first exciting expedition into the Maasai bush lands. If you follow the correct timing you would have the great chance to see the Eighth Wonder of the World: the Great Wildebeest Migration. The Masai Mara is teeming with wildlife such as wildebeest, giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala and hartebeest. After dinner you will have an overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara

Wake up early morning and get ready to catch the safari into the open bush at the Maasai Mara Reserve which is known for its hospitable people. The reserve also presents superb opportunities for wildlife photography with its stunning open landscapes and unforgettable sunsets. As the name suggests “Mara,” which means spotted that is a landscape dotted by fluffy clouds, scrub brush, and towering trees. The game reserve is also home to numerous elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos. So get ready with your camera to take shots of world’s most astounding natural events. You are sure to visit the Maasai Mara Africa’s “Big Five” game which is the five most dangerous animals in the land: the African buffalo, African elephant, black rhinoceros, leopard and lion. After lunch have a relaxing time to cool the mid-day heat and again in the evening a game drive will finish your adventure for the day. After dinner you will have an overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Lodge

Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

7th day which is the final day of your adventurous remarkable trip. So we wanted to give a farewell to you in the morning which is a balloon safari above the savannah and it is optional as per your choice. Hot air balloon trips can be arranged on most of the Masai Mara safaris and are an excellent way of seeing the grassland plains and abundant wildlife. This balloon safari helps you to have a whole view of Kenya and also you can enjoy seeing wildlife through the illusion of your birds-eye view. As this balloon safari is optional if you do not wish to be put Hot Air Balloon safari, then after breakfast at Mara Sentrim, we will move back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the afternoon at Nairobi and we will drop you at your Nairobi hotel or the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
