This 14 days and 12 nights safari takes you Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Crater Lakes, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mutanda, Batwa Trail, Bwindi National Park & Lake Bunyonyi
Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival at the Entebbe Airport you’ll be met by one of our representatives. After departure from the international airport your guide will escort you to your accommodation in Entebbe and you will make your overnight stay at Airport Guesthouse.
Day 2: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park
You will be taken to Murchison Falls National Park which is the most beautiful protected area in Uganda. You will make your drive and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is the home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda. This reserve was created to preserve rhinos which became an extinct since 1982. You can go for watching the rhinos along with your guide in close and safe distance and observe them in their habitat. After watching the rhinos you would proceed for your drive to Murchison Falls. You will have a wonderful dinner and overnight stay in safari tent at Fort Murchison. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in this trip package
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
You will have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready for a game drive to the northern bank of the Nile. Here you can see variety of birds and wildlife like giraffes, elephants, lions, and hartebeest. You will have a wonderful afternoon safari in boat cruise on the river Nile. Here you are again set for game viewing in close up viewing of wildlife and birds of various varieties. Once you reach the bottom of waterfall you will get out of the boat and get ready to climb the top of views to have a wonderful spectacular view of the Nile. After this you will return back to have your wonderful dinner at rainforest and for an overnight stay at Budongo Eco Lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in this trip package
Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park
You start your day out of Murchison Falls and would be driven to Fort Portal. This drive is a long journey but this drive would be enjoyable drive with stunning views as your pass through small villages and local markets. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for the many tea plantations. You will make your drive from this scenic town to dense forest of Kibale National Park. You have your wonderful dinner and overnight stay at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale. Day 5: Crater Lakes
You have a relaxing breakfast and then we drive you to explore the crater lakes. You are sure to enjoy the natural environment filled with numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and the wonderful views. You can go for a hike at Lake Nkuruba where you can see variety primates and birds and you can also go for a visit to Mahoma Falls. You can explore by walk through villages and have a meeting with the local people and get to know about the customs of Batoro tribe and also enjoy the natural wonderful views. Day 6: Kibale Forest & Bigodi Swamp
Kibale Forest is known for having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa and this forest is known for its chimp tracking. You will start your day with a wonderful guided nature walk inside the tropical rainforest where you can see wide varieties of wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and wildlife. You have your wonderful lunch and then drive to Bigodi Swamp where you can experience a different nature walk. Bigodi Swamp is initiated by the local community and is known for its variety of birds and primates. Day 7: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park
This day is set out for you to enjoy the majestic Rwenzori Mountain.You can take a guided walk in the foothills of the mountains and explore and get to know about the local culture of this region. After your hike you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have your wonderful dinner and overnight stay at Simba Safari Camp. Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park
You have to start early for your morning game drive and you will be taken to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. Here you can visit wide variety of wildlife like lions, elephants, buffaloes to name a few all in their natural habitat. You will return back and have your wonderful lunch and in the afternoon you will be taken for an exciting boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This is a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Here you can see wide variety of birdlife and wildlife like elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos as they cool their day at the shores. Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Lake Mutanda (Southern Bwindi NP)
You will start your day out of beautiful Queen Elizabeth area and will be driven to the southwest. This drive will be calm and scenic and you will reach the shores of Lake Mutanda by late afternoon. Day 10: Gorilla Tracking
The activity that is most highlighted in your Bwindi trip is the gorilla tracking. If you are a hiker you are sure to enjoy the tracking in the wonderful natural ecosystem of the park. However you must ensure to cover long distance by walk in steep and muddy path and you might also have rains showering sometimes before you reach the wonderful gorillas. But the path spent is really a worth as you visit them in close angles while they eat, play and rest in the natural environment. You are sure to carry with you an unforgettable experience in your travel. If you feel you do not want to participate in the gorilla tracking you can take a guided forest walk or you can explore the nearby regions and also make a walk to Buhoma Village. Day 11: The Batwa Trail
Bwindi main attraction is gorillas and also has numerous other activities in it. One of it you will enjoy for this day is the Batwa Trail. Batwa Trail is the most unique cultures worldwide. The Batwa pygmies are a forest people displaced from the rain forest they shared with mountain gorillas. You can get to explore and learn a lot about the old culture and tradition and also enjoy a hike with the Batwa guides. You can learn how they live their life and how they hunt and you can enjoy listening to their ancient legends and get to know a lot from them about medical plants. Day 12: Bwindi National Park – Lake Bunyonyi
You have your breakfast and then you are driven to the second deepest lake of Africa called as Lake Bunyonyi . You will finish your wonderful lunch and get ready by 14.00hr to trek to the peaks of the Kyabahinga peninsula. This trekking is for 5 hours and you can enjoy the breathtaking views in natural environment. You have your wonderful dinner and make your overnight stay at Bunyonyi Eco Resort. Day 13: Lake Bunyonyi – Kampala
You can have a relaxing calm breakfast and then we drive you to the natural beautiful lake after which you are driven back to the capital city. On the way we will pass the Equator and we will stop here for you to take some photos and souvenir shopping that would be an everlasting remembrance for you. You arrive at Kampala late in the afternoon arrival in Kampala and have yourovernight stay at Orchidea Guesthouse. Breakfast and lunch is included in this trip package
Day 14: Departure
This is your final day of tour and you are sure to be filled with wonderful experience and unforgettable memories in your 10 days tour with which you say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa..
