Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire – 9 Days & 8 Nights

This 9 days and 8 nights safari takes you to Arusha, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire National Park and is available in moderate and luxury style

Day1: Arusha

Upon your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International airport you’ll be met by one of our representative. After departure from the international airport your guide will escort you to the hotel Naura Spring or Impala hotel for your night stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After you early morning breakfast you will drive refreshed to Lake Manyara National Park which is evergreen throughout the year. You will have your lunch at Manyara Serena Lodge which is located overlooking the Great Rift Valley. After lunch you are taken for a game drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park has variety of birds of about 440 bird species recorded and is sure a heaven for bird lovers. At Lake Manyara National Park one is sure to see and enjoy thousands of pink flamingos, pelicans, cormorants and storks which are surely a breath taking everlasting experience in your travel. Lake Manyara National Park also has wildlife like lion, zebra, elephant, giraffe, baboon, hyena and famous hot springs commonly known as “Maji Moto”. These are only to name a few there are lots of varieties of wild life one can see inside Lake Manyara National Park. After your game drive you can return to the Lake Manyara Hotel or Lake Manyara Serena Lodge and have relaxing hot shower and a wonderful dinner.

Day 3: Lake Manyara Park / Serengeti National park

After your breakfast you make your drive to Serengeti National Park which is one of the famous parks in Africa.  This park is a starting point for animal migration and it is famous for its wildebeest migration. The Serengeti National Park has lot of features and attractions in it and one among them is the annual great wildebeest migration which means wildebeest, zebra and gazelle migrates from Serengeti National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya and come back later in the year. The park is evergreen with natural plains and the savannah vegetation and is known for its richest wildlife and birdlife in Africa. The most vital activity during East African safaris is the hot air balloon safari at Serengeti National Park. The park has wide variety of animals and one can see the wild beast as it breed here between December and May. Also the park has 500 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, and many species of vultures and you can see many different antelope as well as predators such as Lion, Cheetah and Leopard, African Elephant, African Buffalo, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, topi, eland, water buck, hyena, baboon, impala, African wild dog and giraffe. You can return to Serengeti Sopa or Seronera Wildlife Lodge or Serengeti Serena along with your guide. You can relax having hot shower and a wonderful dinner.

Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park – Full two days

After breakfast you will be taken for a game drive by your driver guide, you have option of collecting your picnic lunch or you can return back to lodge for taking your hot lunch. You start your game drive for the morning and have it till noon after which you have your lunch and relax. You then start for your afternoon game drive again and then return back to Serengeti Sopa or Seronera Wildlife Lodge or Serengeti Serena and have your hot shower and a wonderful dinner.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park / Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After your breakfast you can collect your picnic lunch and would be driving to Olduvai Gorge for a game viewing. Olduvai Gorge is a prehistoric site where the skull of ‘zinjanthropus’ the first upright man believed to have lived over 2 million years ago was found. After this you will continue your drive through Ngorongoro rainforest. This drive is filled with scenic nature and picturesque views with lot of animal surprises which gives you an everlasting experience in your travel. You will reach Ngorongoro Sopa lodge or Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and have your wonderful dinner and relax for the night.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning after your breakfast, get your picnic lunch and you would be driven to Ngorongoro crater along the early morning mist. Ngorongoro crater is known as the eight wonders of the world and is also the home for the big 5 namely Black Rhino, African Capped buffalo, lion, leopard and elephant. Ngorongoro crater has wide varieties of about 25,000 large animals like zebra, gazelle, antelope and wildebeest to name a few. Only in few places in Africa you can see black rhino and wild African dog and Ngorongoro crater is one among them. You will also see some lion prides with the magnificent black-maned males. After enjoying these, you will leave for your lodge in late afternoon. You will have a hot shower at your Ngorongoro Sopa lodge or Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and finish your day with a wonderful dinner.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater / Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you can get your picnic lunch and will make your drive to Tarangire National Park where you will be taken for a game drive. You are sure to visit vital parts of Tarangire in your game drive and one among these is the Tarangire River. Tarangire River has wide varieties of wildlife and birdlife mainly during the dry season. Tarangire is known as bird paradise and also has lots of trees, tree climbing African pythons and herds of elephants. You can also see and enjoy some of the rare wild animals like Oryx, gazelle, zebra, impala, lion, leopard, the rare cheetah and wildebeest. After finishing your game drive in the late afternoon you will drive to Arusha. You will make your stay for the night after having hot shower and wonderful dinner at Impala hotel or Naura Spring.

 Day 9: Arusha National Park / Departure

You have your breakfast and come for a meeting with your tour guide to know about the safari briefing. You will be taken to Arusha National Park in a jeep where you can have lots of activities. Some of the activities you can enjoy are you can go for a walking safari accompanied with an armed ranger or go for a game drive inside the national park. You can capture the moments by taking photographs of such animals like zebra, antelopes and African buffalo along with birds on the trees in a very close angle. If you are a bird lover you can go for bird watching to Momella lakes which have 450 species of birds where you can see numerous numbers of birdlife which includes the resident and migratory once. You can see in this lake pink flamingos and pelicans or go for a hiking to Mount Meru which is the second highest mountain in Tanzania and which is located inside the park. You can have your picnic lunch near the beautiful waterfalls of Meru. Arusha National Park has wide variety of wildlife like African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys, velvet monkey, colobus monkey and varieties of retiles. This is your final day of your tour and so late afternoon you prepare and get ready to be transferred to Kilimanjaro International airport.
